Waitoa Sticky Hoison and Ginger Chicken

Ingredients

  • 8 Waitoa Free Range Chicken Drumsticks
  • ½ cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • ¼ tsp ground garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp fresh grated ginger
  • 1 red chilli, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients apart from the sesame seeds. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
  2. Heat oven to 190ºC and line a baking tray with baking paper.
  3. Place chicken on the lined baking tray and bake for 35-40 minutes or until cooked through and golden. Turn drumsticks over half way through cooking and baste with any remaining marinade.
