Bang Bang Chicken

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 12 x Waitoa chicken tenders (GF or Original)
  • 1 x spring onion chopped
  • 1 x red chilli chopped
  • Parsley, chopped, for garnish

 

Bang Bang Sauce

  • 1 x cup Thai sweet chilli sauce
  • 1 ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 x teaspoon Sriracha
  • 3 x tablespoons honey

Method

Bang Bang Sauce

  • To begin, in a small bowl, combine your mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, and honey. Mix well and set aside in the fridge.
  • Waitoa chicken tenders, remove from packet and follow instructions. If using the air fryer, place on a lined tray, and fry on 200c for 15-20 minutes turning once through.
  • Once cooked, remove from the Air fryer and put into a large bowl.
  • Toss the chicken in a large bowl with about 80% of the bang bang sauce with a sprinkle of chopped parsley.
  • From here, top the chicken with sliced red chilies, remainder of sauce, sliced spring onion and a sprinkle of salt and pepper before serving.
  • This dish can be served as a starter or snack for entertaining.
  • Bang Bang chicken can also be used as your protein as part of a larger meal. Great options are over rice, noodles or a bed of shredded lettuce.
